Corporate headquarters’ renewed with latest EWI insulation system

3 April 2012

2012: When Tarmac set about modernising its Wolverhampton headquarters it called on Gaffney & Guinan to help it achieve its two main objectives: dramatically improved energy efficiency and a transformed exterior.

The ageing office block had solid wall construction and as a result suffered from high levels of heat loss, costing money and raising the company’s CO2 footprint.

Completing the building’s transformation, Gaffney & Guinan’s installers also fitted aluminium flashings, manufactured by Trueline Expanded Products Ltd, to cover concrete mullions.

Gaffney & Guinan undertakes a wide range of corporate and major commercial projects every year – contact us directly for full information on our recent work.

“To bring the building’s insulation fully in-line with current u-value standards we recommended installing Alumasc’s Swisslab EWI system. This system, using 50mm Phenolic, delivers excellent heat conservation and it has the advantage of a superb finish. As well as its good performance the Phenolic relatively economical compared with some other solutions.”
